"I had an incident that seemed threatening to me when a caller asked to come into the room for an unlikely reason. I called security when I hung up and they responded swiftly, politely, and went the extra mile by sending several people to verify that I was actually OK and no one had entered our room. I was very pleased and reassured by their response. Please thank them again for me.
Also the housekeepers were friendly and spoke English so that one could communicate with them. That was helpful. An Asian lady Concierge was very helpful with directions.

Located in the prestigious Washington neighborhood of Woodley Park, this hotel is just minutes from the National Zoo and the National Cathedral and eight miles from Reagan National Airport. The Red Line Woodley Park Metro stop is across the street from the hotel.
Hotel amenities include parking (for a fee), on-site restaurant, coffee shop, cocktail lounge, laundry valet, shoe shine, hair salon/barber, gift shop/newsstand, business center with PC and printer, rental car and airline desk, post office, jewelry store and notary public. All rooms feature a work desk with lamp, speaker phone with voicemail and data port, high-speed internet access provided by STSN, cable/satellite TV with remote control and in-room movies, complimentary nwspaper delivered (Mon-Fri) and in-room coffee, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and web television.
Note: Construction of a new on-site parking garage is scheduled from January 1, 2006 through September 1, 2006.
